This treks in this region afford breath-taking views of the mountains from gentler heights, a placid green countryside and a friendly hospital country folk. Forests are tropical at first, give way to rhododendron, hung with orchid and fern and home to myriad species of colorful birds and insects. This trek, in the short time allowed, will give you the best of the countryside and the mountains. It is not one frequently used, allowing some privacy on trail, yet takes you to the heights of Panchase at 2760m and some magnificent views of the ranges.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu. Reception at airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 02: Day Sightseeing tours to Kathmandu valley.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara and commence trek to PATALE KHARKA : From Pokhara proceed for about 7 km on the Siddhartha Rajmarg. From this point a stone stairway leads off the highway through terraced fields to the top of the ridge at Kalabang Village. Follow the trail westwards to Bhumdi, ascending to 5000'. The trail continues ascending in a westerly direction through thick forest till the grassy park of Patale Kharka is reached at 5800'. The views of Macchapuchare and the northern Himalayas are wonderful from here particularly at sunrise and sunset.

Two trails lead from Patale Kharka to Panchase Deorali: the higher climbs south along the forested ridge, the second traverses fine forest in a westward direction through Makandpur. Above Sidane, the climb continues laterally to the grassy park at Panchase Deorali. Again, mountain views are good from here.

Make a pre-breakfast excursion to the summit of Panchase for a commanding view of the Dhaulagiri-Annapurna dominated countryside. Thereafter, head north, skirting the eastern flank of Panchase Lekh, high above the source of the Rati and Harpan Kholas. After a short rest at the chautara at Harpankot, make the easy descent into the village of Bhaudaure.

Bhadaure Deorali lies on the old highway between Pokhara and Baglung. Follow the trail through forest along head streams to the Pass at Khare. From here the trail turns easterly towards Naudanda. Passing through Naudanda, keep along the trail to Kaski Kot, former capital of the rulers of the province and then on to the ruins of the sentinel fort at Sarankot.

Sarankot is an hour and a half from the roadhead behind the Bindyabasini shrine in Pokhara's Bazaar. Trek concludes at Pokhara and fly to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel for overnight.
